School is back in session! Extracurriculars are going! Gym classes are full again! The fall season is here! Pumpkin spice is back everywhere, and so is the spice in my life thanks to the PSL!

My pumpkins always come out September 1 (because of course). Fall is my favorite! I feel so alive! I will pretend like it’s cool outside until it actually is cool outside. Since this year, Labor Day was September 1, we spent the day decorating with pumpkins, cats, bats, and lights! We also watched an outdoor movie to end the day.

The cooler weather snaps are perfect for bubble-blowing!

Is there anything better?

Fall is also a great time for finger paintings…even though it’s the K5 art project, who doesn’t want to participate?

Even though fall is my fave, not every day goes as smoothly as I plan. Milk gets spilled, I have to make an extra trip to Wal-Mart, I burn the cookies because I can’t hear the timer upstairs, I left the laundry in the washing machine too long, so it smells like mildew and it must be washed again, people don’t take naps when they are supposed to, the cat drags a mouse to the back door (gross), I have to break up one too many fights, and the list goes on. Yep, all of these are true stories.
What rocks your day? It will look different for us all, but the frustrations or pure ridiculous nature of life hits us all! I am currently washing the load of darks today for the second time because I forgot to let the dark load leader know she needed to throw that load in the dryer and hang up the hang-ups. Oops!
No matter what is going on in your world, get up and get it anyway, girl. Begin with your quiet time.

Make your bed.
Make your list.
Make your coffee.
Do whatever needs to be done. Get to the office, take your notes in class, study for the test, do the laundry, fold the laundry, make supper, go for a walk, take the gym class, read to your children, and be a light to the world. Let them see the difference He makes in your life!
You are the light of the world. Matthew 5:14
You are the light to your family, your friends, your co-workers, your classmates, and your neighbors.

We live in a culture that puts emphasis on being seen and winning. Sometimes people don’t see your efforts. They may never see the work you put into the day. Know in your heart that God always sees and that is what counts.
Even when your day is….rough…ask God for help, drink your PSL, and go out there and get it!
Praying for you,
Charis
Pic(k) of the day: Don’t cry over spilled milk…don’t mind the cheese crumbs or peas down there too…
